A Few Afghan Players who are a part of Indian Premier League 2018

There are a few players from Afghanistan who are a part of Indian Premier League. The first ever Afghan player who was sold at the Indian Premier League auction 2017 was All-rounder Mohammad Nabi for Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 30 Lakh. In IPL 2018 auction, he was bought back for INR 1 crore by the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mohammad Nabi was followed by Afghan teammate Rashid Khan who was also brought by Sunrisers Hyderabad. In IPL 2017, Rashid Khan who was brought by SRH for Rs. 4 Crores picked up 17 wickets from 14 games. In IPL 2018, he was retained by SRH for Rs. 9 Crores. During the IPL 2018, he was named as the man of the match.

These were the only two Afghan Players who were picked in IPL,2017. Further Afghan Players who were added up in the list for IPL 2018 include Mujeeb Ur Rahman for Kings XI Punjab and Zahir Khan Pakteen for Rajasthan Royals.
In January 2018, 17 years old Mujeeb Ur Rahman was bought by the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2018 auction for INR 4 crores. He became the youngest cricketer to play in the Indian Premier League. He is the right arm off spinner, the leg-spinner, and the occasional googly bowler.
The 19-year old Zahir Khan in January 2018 was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 IPL auction for INR 60 lakhs. He took 15 wickets in eight T20 matches.
